                     TYPES OF THE TENSES

1.PRESENT TENSES

  A.Simple Present Tense
  B.Present Continuous Tense
  C.Present Perfect Tense
  D.Present perfect continuous Tense

2.PAST TENSE

  A.Simple Present Tense
  B.Past Continuous Tense
  C.Past Perfect Tense

3.FUTURE TENSE

 LET'S US UNDERSTAND ABOVE TENSES

                1.PRESENT TENSES

A.Simple Present Tense

Action:

        It is used to indicate daily and regular actions.It is also used to express universal truth and proverb

Formation :
         
            SUBJECT+VERB(s,es)+OBJECT


Example : (Daily)

        1.I read the times of India every morning.
        2.We worship god everyday.
        3.My father goes to office at 10.00AM everyday

Example : (Regular)

        1.I received a letter  every Sunday.
        2.We visit mount abu in every vacation.
        3.My uncle comes to india every year.

Example: (Universal truth)

        1.The sun risen in the east.
        2.The sun sets in the west.
        3.The earth haves round the sun.

Example : (Proverb)

        1."The pen is mightier than the sword"
        2."Time and tide wait for none"
        3."An apple a day keeps the doctor away"

B.Present Continuous Tense 

Action :
          It is used to indicate actions which are going on at the time of speaking

Formation :
         
          SUB+am/is/are+verb(ing)

Example:

1.I am reading a novel at this time.
2.My father is preparing a file now.
3.The students are learning tense no.2 now.

C.Present Perfect Tense

Action :

         It is used to denote the action which completed in the recent past


Formation :

           SUB+have/has+P.P.

Example :

1.I have finished my project just now.
2.You have not reached Ahmedabad yet.
3.Teacher has completed tense no.2 just now.

D.Present Perfect continuous Tense

Action :

        It is used to indicate action which started at some time in the past and it is going on even at the time of speaking

Formation :

        SUB+HAVE/HAS+BEEN+VERB(ING)

Example :

1.I have been teaching in this college since 2007.
2.i have been reading a novel since morning.
3.My father has been serving in this company since 1995


                        2.PAST TENSES

A.Simple Past Tense

Action :

        It is used to indicate the action which completed in the past


Formation :

           Sub+V2+Object

Example :

1.I received a call letter at interview yesterday.
2.We bought a new car last month.
3.I completed my graduation in June.

B.Past Continuous Tense
Action :

        It is used to indicate the action which was going on at certain time in the past

Formation :

            Sub+was/were+verb(ing)

Example :

1.I was doing homework yesterday.
2.I was attending a lecture yesterday at this time.
3.We were enjoying party yesterday at 11.00PM.

C.Past Perfect Tense

Action :

          It used to indicate the action which had been completed long back in the past

Formation :

            Sub+had+P.P.

Example :

1.I had gone to chennai when i was a child.
2.My great grand father had bought this  bungalow in 1880
3.The patient had been died before the doctor came.

D.Past Perfect Continuous Tense

Action :

        It is used indicate the action which is start in past and complete in past

Formation :

        Sub+had+been+verb(ing)

Example :

1.I had been playing cricket.
2.Abhishek had been telling a story.
3.He had been driving a car.


                       3.FUTURE TENSES

A.Simple Future Tense

Action :

         It is used to indicate the action which will take palace in future

Formation:
       
           Sub+will+V1

Example :

1.I will go to ahmedabad tomorrow.
2.We will visit the zoo next week.
3.My father will get promotion next month.

B.Future Continuous Tense

Action :

         It is used to indicate the action which will be going on at certain time in future

Formation

            Sub+will be+verb(ing)

Example :

1.I will be watching a serial tomorrow at 9.00PM
2.The students will be attending lecture tomorrow at 10.00AM
3.I will be taking my lunch today at 2.00PM


C.Future Perfect Tense

Action :

        It is used to indicate the action will have been completed by certain time in future

Formation :


          Sub+will have +P.P.

Example :

1.I will have done my homework by 9.30PM.
2.We will have won the case by next year.
3.I will  have taken my dinner by 9.30PM.

D.Future Perfect continuous Tense

Action :
       
           It is used to indicate the action start in future and also completed in certain time in future

Formation :

         Sub+will have been+verb(ing)

Example:

1.I will have been playing cricket.
2.Abhishek will have been telling a story.
3.He will have been driving a car.
